FF-X7Bst-II Core Booster II Interceptor Type is an interceptor variant of the FF-X7-Bst Core Booster, which in turn is a variant of the FF-X7 Core Fighter. It is scheduled to make appearance in Ace Combat: Maintenance Infinity.

The Core Booster II Interceptor Type is not well known at all, even among the Gundam fans; its only appearance is in the first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO: Apocalypse 0079, and even then it appears for less than 30 seconds.
Just as its name suggests, the Core Booster II Interceptor Type is designed to intercept aerial enemies at high speed. Large boosters and multiple fuel tanks are equipped on the aircraft. While its main armament is the gatling gun located on the right side of the booster module, it is speculated that the aircraft can also fire missiles, but little official information is available.
Leaked event banner from the constantly raided Ace Combat: Maintenance Infinity servers suggests the Core Booster II will be available as a reward for an online co-op mission ranking tournament as part of a collaboration event. However the seemingly never-ending maintenance of the said game means the aircraft may not get to appear in any Ace Combat games, and continues to remain as an obscure aircraft of another franchise.
