The OFS Anzio (CG-68) was a Tinconderoga-class Cruiser of the Osean Maritime Defense Force. It was named after Anzio, Italy, site of an Allied invasion in World War II, named "Operation Shingle."
History[]
In December 29th, 2010, the OFS Anzio escorts the OFS Kestrel to destroy the Yuktobanian fleet over the Ceres Ocean, a Su-34 Fullback fired four Kh-29 Kedge Air-to-Ground missiles at her, she was able to intercept and destroy two missiles with her CIWS but two other missiles hit the ship, but the ship survived. Again in the Lighthouse War, during Operation Giant's Step. A Su-33 Flanker-D crash into her, the ship survived one again but with severe damage. During Operation Daredevil, she participated shooting down the Arsenal Bird Justice, all of her missiles were blown out of the sky by the Arsenal Bird's APS. The ship was sunk by the Arsenal Bird's lasers like most other Osean ships. Casualties aboard the Anzio were unknown, but the crew was ordered to abandon ship after the laser attack by the acting commander.
