The R-17 was created as a project in 1983 when Berkia's Aviation industry Demanded a Newer Fighter to keep up with the rest of Strangereal, the R-17 Project was started as the XP-17, which was the experimental name of the aircraft, after testing, the first of the Fighter's entered production in 1991.
