I believe that's a carbine, not a rifle.

{{{The stock is the only carbine feature, its an A4 rifle with carbine stock. I can redesign if needed.}}}

I would just make the stock larger, and slightly blockier, too. Other than that, I like it.

I want one of these. Windhover-1 04:37, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Out of interest, what's wrong with using a carbine stock on an M16? The current Canadian-issue version, the C7A2, uses an M4-type four-position stock.

Technically, there's nothing wrong with it. It's just confusing from a layman's perspective.

How would it use both the 5.56 and the 7.62? And technically, using a 7.62 would classify it as a medium machinegun, not an assault rifle (though strangely the MA5 series rifles from Halo use the 7.62x51mm NATO, but Halo weapons tend to use larger rounds, like the M90 CAWS, which uses an 8-gauge shell). I'd think that might make it NCF, but I wouldn't know well enough to say for sure.

Battle Rifle, not Medium Machine Gun.

Umm....You ever heard of dropping out the lower and upper receviers guys? changing the barrels (meaning you could use larger caliber ammo) using a set of tools? as in a modular design? jeez...-facepalm- Like the ACR!? btw ONI a machine gun must be a belt fed, fully automatic sustained fire weapon XD. Battle Rifle yes. A large caliber, Automatic Rifle. >< Kitsune 1 22:49, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

No, I hadn't. I logic phailed XDA.O.A., Administrator of Ace Combat Fanon 01:03, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

I have an answer to this little debate:

There are two variants of the M-4 Carbine, one that's a carbine and the other being a full-auto light machine gun intended to replace the M-249 SAW.

The M16A5 can be the Assault Rifle variant, while another variant (I would say M16A6) would be an LMG and would have the larger cartridge. Problem solved.

"the other being a full-auto light machine gun intended to replace the M-249 SAW."

And which variant would that be?

I don't remember, but what I do remember is that I heard about it on the tv show Futureweapons about a year ago.

The closest thing I can think of is the M27 IAR, which is based on the 416 rather than the M4

Yeah that was it. I just forgot the name.
